    Icon3 DLV 5.0 and Bugfixer 1 in 7zip format

By popular demand I have taken the time to extract and compress DLV 5.0 and Bugfixer 1 into 7zip format. I hope Repman & Co. don't mind (since he's on holiday atm). I just did this to help those that wanted in a zip format. Anyway here is the download link:

First I would recommend downloading 7zip
    http://www.7-zip.org/

    DLV 5.1 Kingdoms in 7zip format (393Mb)
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NZFKF5LZ

This download includes DLV 5.0 and bugfixer 1. Extract to your Medieval 2 Total War directory. Use the Launch_DLV_ext BAT file to start up DLV. Also I did this using English sound files so for non-English you may have to use the adapt_sound_nonenglish BAT file. If this doesn't work then post saying so and I will upload a non-English version as well.

Thank you Aszrayel for doing this. I downloaded 5.0 no problem but that site will not let me download the bugfixer something about download limit.

    @overon

You'll probably have to wait some time before you can D/L anymore. Some sites operate that sort of policy.

When you are @ the Megaupload site, on the right side of the browser you can download the megaupload toolbar. It adds a toolbar to your explorer browser. After 9pm eastern America timezone you can click on the "premium" feature of the toolbar, allowing you four hours of premium membership. I did this last night and it let me DL as many things as I wanted to.

Thanks for the info, but I don't (personally speaking) touch that crud. I only have XP installed for games ..

After so many years using Linux and MacOSX it just offends my sensibilities when I have to rely on adware/malware crap to get hold of stuff off the internerd. I know there are so many perfectly good protocols laying dormant and the neccessity for these sorts of spamware hosts is nil.

I would really rather people just didn't use them at all. Let alone actually give out their personal details/email addresses/install 'helper bars' etc. Ich.

Will re-upload and re-link. Give this some time.

Edit: New working link for bugfixer 1 now up. Hopefully this one won't break

OK, there is a problem. The data and DLV_ext came through with size, 0b.

Everything else is fine, its these two folders that are faulty.

ThanX for the valiant effort though.

Everytime I try to extract I get errors with the contents of these two folders.

Ok, we're gonna have to take up a collection of 1's and 0's for this man. Poor guy has been suffering for months. Won't someone please think of the DLV-less?

Hmmm... I'm no longer a techie guy, but sounds like something might be 'fuzzy' in the registry - Windows thinks those folders already exist so they get skipped in the install. Maybe something like www.ccleaner.com would help, if you haven't tried already. Good luck with it!

I know...was hoping a zip version might help. Although I did try to run DLV off the BAT file with and without the bugfixer extracted and wasn't able to run it with the bugfixer extracted yet was able to without it. I think something isn't compressing right or something with the bugfixer...

Edit: In this thread this guy is experiencing something that happens when I have the bugfixer installed. So does anyone else have this same issue when having the bugfixer installed that downloaded (Repman's .exe version or the 7zip version (I got this from Repman's .exe version though)) it recently?

Thank you for addressing this issue. Finally someone with a solution to the problem. But this issue wont fade away as long as Repman himself is not aware of it. Let's hope that Repman uses a different installer or include a new compressed version in the next release.

I save all of my downloads before installing them and last night I looked at them, I don't believe some of the oldest ones used the same installer as 4.0 and 5.0. The last working version that I had was 3.2.

Just downloaded recent versions of Repman's .exe format for DLV 5.0 and bugfixer 1 and installed both and worked fine so it is probably something that is happening during compression in the bugfixer that is causing this...hmm...

Edit: I just installed Repman's 5.0, installed bugfixer over it, and then compressed into a zip. I then extracted these files and tested it to see if it runs and it does so it must've been something that wasn't pointing to the right thing from just extracting the bugfixer straight into a zip. So currently I am uploading a version of DLV 5.0 including the bugfixer and should be up in a couple hours

Wow, I feel like I'm finaly getting from the waiting room into the ER and being preped for surgery!

Thanx for all of your efforts.

Also, if you don't mind, I need this question answered.

1: When I unzip the file, should I just highlight everything, folders included, and unzip them straight into the sega/medieval total war II folder?

The reason I ask is that within the data folder there is a ui folder, and it "seems" that by unzipping the download, the ui folder that comes with it is going to overwrite the ui folder thats vanila to medieval. Its been so long since I had DLV on my PC that I don't neccessarily remember where the DLV_ext and data (dlv) folders where supposed to be.

If the zipped file has been done correctly their should only be 2 root folders. One called DLV_ext (99% of the mod) & the other called data. Inside the data folder there should be only 1 folder called DLV_ext. This is the only folder that needs to go into M2TW vanilla data folder. I never actually extract into the target folder but extract somewhere safe & then copy, paste across but I'm slightly paranoid about what is being installed

New combined file is uploaded with new link. If you have already downloaded the 5.0 file and was having problems with the bugfixer like I was redownload 5.01 (this is 5.0 and bugfixer 1 together). Hope this works for everyone. Sorry it took longer than I mentioned in previous posts...I fell asleep
