Default Very basic question about Batch files

I've looked everywhere for basic tutorials or posts about how to play with modded files, but I'm still horribly confused on the subject.

How do I create a Batch file for the Kingdoms campaigns?

I've already unpacked the Kingdoms campaign files using the unpacker tools. (So now, for example, most of the unpacked files were sent to Medieval II Total War/mods/teutonic/data).

How do I create the Batch file, and where should I put it to use my modded files?

    Once more, thanks!

See this thread, It explains how to use Modswitch, this lets you play modded files without overwrithing you vanilla files.

ModSwitch doesn't seem to be working, either.

Isn't there a way to simply have a Batch file to play the modified files? I'm not concerned about leaving vanilla files unmodified.

Would I have to have a Batch file for all four of the Kingdoms campaigns? Where would I put the Batch files? In the game folders (teutonic/americas/britannia/crusades)?

Don't I have to type something like "io.file_first" in the file? What would I have to type for each Kingdom campaign?

    Thank you!

Alright, I made a batch file and put it in the Teutonic folder. The line says:

    "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\kingdoms.exe" --features.mod=mods/teutonic --io.file_first

However, when I tried to load it, it gave me a CA_LIBS message that brought me back to my desktop.

A text file called "system.log" appeared, and it tells me that I'm missing all sorts of files:

    18:03:42.609 [system.rpt] [always] CPU: SSE2

18:03:42.640 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.
What further perplexes me is that most of these files are not missing from their respective folders.

What should I do to get the batch file to load up the Teutonic campaign?

    Nevermind, fixed!

The trick was to put the batch file in the Medieval II Total War folder. I had put it in the mod folder, the teutonic folder, and the teutonic/data folders to no avail.
