    Default Error when saving files

Just got a new comp and am having to re-mod m2:tw and i have a few questions:

    1. can someone give me a link to the unpacker.

    2. any really good mods that increase AI.

    3. how do you stop rebellions completely.

    4. whenevr i try and change some text in descr_strat and save it it comes up with error:

Cannot create the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\descr_strat.txt file

make sure the path is correct

can anyone give any help - especially teh last one (and im using Vista)

    thanks

    1. The unpacker should be in the tools/unpacker folder.

    2. Havent tried it, but DarthMod was very good for rtw, probably even better in m2tw.

    3. descr_strat and descr_campaign_db.xml i think

    4. you need to remove the 'read only' atribute.

Download patch 1.2 or higher and it is in the data/tools folder (doing so from memory, can someone check?).

    2. any really good mods that increase AI.
Lusted's CAI which I believe is in Lands to Conquer but can also be downloaded separately, and Grandviz's Ultimate AI. Both can be found in the hosted modifications section/download section.

    3. how do you stop rebellions completely.
Change the rebel_uprising line in the descr_strat folder to a high number such as 999.

    4. whenevr i try and change some text in descr_strat and save it it comes up with error:
Right click/properties and untick read only before opening the file.

All I can say is unistall and try reinstalling. Hopefully that will fix the problem. Looks like you had a dodgy download in the first instance.
