What does Stacks mean when reffering to an army?
"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."

Ok, I was playing XGM today and there was an ai enemy army with 22 units in one army and a settlement with 23 units in it, but the max units I can have in one army or settlement is 20. I was wondering why the AI could have more than 20 in an army and I can't?:hmmm:

Probably that. It's impossible in the game to have more than 20 units in a single army.
Every time you , god kills another kitten.
If you're gonna hire Machete to kill the bad guy, you better make damn sure the bad guy isn't YOU!

Take screenshots of the armies.
Count them carefully. There is 20 units, two rows with 9 and a third with 2![]()
Yep, Kratos is right. That stack definitely does not have 22 units. I've never seen any stacks with more then 20 units, not even in XGM.
20 or 22. Thats still a pretty mean stack of Brits.
I refer to any group of soldiers as a stack. Small, half, big, full are terms to convey the rough size of the stack.
Quite often its whats in the stack thats of more importance than how many.
Full stacks can have differing levels on their banners. A stack of 20 battle damaged units might fill less than half its banner. A stack of 16 powerful upgraded and trained units will have a banner full of that factions colour.
