    Default Programming Error--Garrisons

I've had this happen twice now, in the Britannia Campaign. I have a large army, and I'm besieging a city with another large army. A small army comes by, and attacks me. On the battlefield, the large army doesn't show up at first (because of the graphics card thing)--so I'm only fighting the small army. Usually the large army shows up once I've thinned out the small army's numbers, but twice the large army hasn't shown up. If it doesn't show up, then on the campaign map, the large army is gone, and I get control of the city without ever fighting the large army. I think this is because the garrison army would be destroyed if it engaged in a defeat...but it never actually fought.

I don't remember this happening in Medieval II--and I'm assuming it's not supposed to happen.

Not had the army vanish like that, but on a few occasions the reinforcements just haven't shown like they should've.

Sometimes the reinforcements start way far away from the battle map (I've had this happen to me in the mountains of central Italy in the Grand Campaign) and take a very long time to arrive at the site. If you kill or route all units on the playing part of the battle map you win the fight because there are no units to fight you.

I've actually used this tactic a few times where I've killed small armies fast enough so that the large army does not get to engage--this is probably the genesis of the bug.
