The most challenging battlefield AI mod?

I've been playing this game since is was released and I've got to the stage where I can beat the AI on the battlefield in all but the most adverse situations. Frankly, the game has become boring because the AI is too easy to beat on the battlefield.

Which is the best mod for making sure that a) the AI doesn't stack armies full of peasants and b) isn't so tactically lacking on the battlefield?

From my own research the two leading candidates are Lusted's mod and darthmod. I'm keen to hear from anyone who's used these mods.

i am using darthmod accross Stainless steel and i must say it's great and that really improve the AI, except when you counter attack a siege. In this case the AI is still dumb and for example let you exterminating its units one by one using cavalry.

But for the rest of the battles the combination of Lusted's Ultimate AI and the latest Darthmod makes the game a lot more enjoyable and challenging. Darthmod really makes the battles harder and more realistic while Ultimate AI drastically improves campaign AI. So people won't break alliances anymore because they feel an urgent need to blockade your least important port. Or enemies attacking your best garrisoned Citadel with 3 spear militia, 2 mailed Knights and their Faction leader.

I like using Lusted's Land to Conquer with Darth's battle files. You can use this combination by downloading LTC, then looking in its forum for the thread called 'improved ai 2' for darth style battles. Lusted improved the campaign AI so that the AI's armies are composed of good units. It makes the game quite challenging on very hard, give it a shot!
