Default Suicide Bombers: Hell or Paradise?

JAHANNEM, OUTER DARKNESS—The hijackers who carried out the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon expressed confusion and surprise Monday to find themselves in the lowest plane of Na'ar, Islam's Hell.

"I was promised I would spend eternity in Paradise, being fed honeyed cakes by 67 virgins in a tree-lined garden, if only I would fly the airplane into one of the Twin Towers," said Mohammed Atta, one of the hijackers of American Airlines Flight 11, between attempts to vomit up the wasps, hornets, and live coals infesting his stomach. "But instead, I am fed the boiling feces of traitors by malicious, laughing Ifrit. Is this to be my reward for destroying the enemies of my faith?"

The rest of Atta's words turned to raw-throated shrieks, as a tusked, asp-tongued demon burst his eyeballs and drank the fluid that ran down his face.

According to Hell sources, the 19 eternally damned terrorists have struggled to understand why they have been subjected to soul-withering, infernal torture ever since their Sept. 11 arrival.

"There was a tumultuous conflagration of burning steel and fuel at our gates, and from it stepped forth these hijackers, the blessed name of the Lord already turning to molten brass on their accursed lips," said Iblis The Thrice-Damned, the cacodemon charged with conscripting new arrivals into the ranks of the forgotten. "Indeed, I do not know what they were expecting, but they certainly didn't seem prepared to be skewered from eye socket to bunghole and then placed on a spit so that their flesh could be roasted by the searing gale of flatus which issues forth from the haunches of Asmoday."

"Which is strange when you consider the evil with which they ended their lives and those of so many others," added Iblis, absentmindedly twisting the limbs of hijacker Abdul Aziz Alomari into unspeakably obscene shapes.

"I was told that these Americans were enemies of the one true religion, and that Heaven would be my reward for my noble sacrifice," said Alomari, moments before his jaw was sheared away by faceless homunculi. "But now I am forced to suckle from the 16 poisoned leathern teats of Gophahmet, Whore of Betrayal, until I burst from an unwholesome engorgement of curdled bile. This must be some sort of terrible mistake."

Exacerbating the terrorists' tortures, which include being hollowed out and used as prophylactics by thorn-cocked Gulbuth The Rampant, is the fact that they will be forced to endure such suffering in sight of the Paradise they were expecting.

"It might actually be the most painful thing we can do, to show these murderers the untold pleasures that would have awaited them in Paradise, if only they had lived pious lives," said Praxitas, Duke of Those Willingly Led Astray. "I mean, it's tough enough being forced through a wire screen by the callused palms of Halcorym and then having your entrails wound onto a stick and fed to the toothless, foul-breathed swine of Gehenna. But to endure that while watching the righteous drink from a river of wine? That can't be fun."

Underworld officials said they have not yet decided on a permanent punishment for the terrorists.

"Eventually, we'll settle on an eternal and unending task for them," said Lord Androalphus, High Praetor of Excruciations. "But for now, everyone down here wants a crack at them. The legions of fang-wombed hags will take their pleasure on their shattered carcasses for most of this afternoon. Tomorrow, their flesh will be melted from their bones like wax in the burning embrace of the Mother of Cowards. The day after that, they'll be sodomized by the Fallen and their bowels shredded by a demonic ejaculate of burning sand. Then, on Sunday, Satan gets them all day. I can't even imagine what he's got cooked up for them."
While many of us agree with the humerous Onion article, does Islam really condemn these men to "hell" as it were?

The Verse of the Sword states "When the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with Allah wherever ye shall find them, besiege tem, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush"

and then there is 9:29 "Make War upon such of those whom the scriptures have been given as they believe not in Allah, or the last day, and forbid not that which Allah and his Apostle have forbidden."

Then again, there is sensibility in the Quran especially in 10:99 "Had your lord willed, everyone on earth would have beleived. Will you then compel people to become believers?" but earlier in Q9:123 says "Make war on the infidels who dwell around you and let them see how harsh you can be."

Even further Allah is supposed to have said, in Q8-12 "I shall be with you. Give courage to the believers. I shall cast terror into the hearts of the Infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers!"

Again in 8:60 "Muster against them all the Cavalry at your command, so taht you may strike terror into the enemies of Alla and your enemies, and others besides them who are unknown to you, but known to Allah. All that you give in the cause of Allah shall be repaid to you. You shall not be wronged."

So, would these terrorists be met with Heaven or Hell if Islam was the one true faith?

I've wondered about this, from what I've gathered, it seems that on judgment day you are resurrected from your grave and judged, you're actual physical form, but if you're in pieces, which you are if you blow yourself up, and only part of you is buried, you're ****ed.

Also, the whole current mentality, is totally wrong, half of them are horny teenagers who are like "WTFzrz, verginz! Bismallah!" *bang* they 'know' they're going to paradise, so it takes out any sense of sacrificing yourself for your beliefs.

In Islam, the earth is a test for mankind, to sort the deserving from the undeserving, if you were angered at the suffering of your fellow Muslims and you killed people, but thought you were going to go to hell for doing it, but did it anyway, beleiving it was better that you suffered for eternity than your brothers and sisters suffered instead, wouldn't god consider that a "good act"?

Unless you wrongly take your own life. Even to a stout warrior, eager for jihad until his dying breath, Muhammad expressed solemn woe that the warrior will most surely go to hell when he took his own life in order to be spared from enemy capture or pain of wounds.

Suicide bombers are utilizing weapons that kill themselves - willingly. This is a grievous sin, possibly unforgivable.

And this alone is not considering that it is a sin to harm women, children, and the elderly in holy war.

Ah, yes, but isn't that just a testiment to your willingness to die for Allah?

For instance, back to this little tidbit from 8:60
"All that you give in the cause of Allah shall be repaid to you. You shall not be wronged" Could that not apply to your life?

Clearly not, as taking your own life is not giving it to Him. If, in proper battle, you should fall, that death will be his Will, his taking. Therefore, that will count as that gift for the cause.

Taking it yourself without putting yourself in any real position to strive for a proper jihad would not count. That proper holy war is a military endeavor, and suicide bombing of civilians is clearly not one of these things.

A suicide bombing of military targets, however... that could be debatable, but the technicalities give the advantage to the con side.

What is the definition of 'terrorist' in this case? Is it a suicide bomber who targets completely innocent civilians on the street or the one who targets enemy combatants belonging to occupying forces?

Nevertheless, regardless what our opinion is, all judgments lie in the hand of God.

The people killing all the innocent civilians.

Kamikaze attacks against an enemy is legitimate.

    It's all unfortunate.

They are. Suicide bombers actually commit 2 sins they way they're commonly referred to, murder and suicide, the willing execution of either one will earn a place in hell with no chance of redemption (though one soldier killing an enemy who's shooting at him, I'm not sure how that's interpreted).

    Neither, they're in the ground.

I think it depends on the version of the holy texts you read, both can be justified, but I think the majority of Muslims agree that they are in hell.

He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

That's a great article! I laughed at the unspeakable torments described.....

Well, I don't personally believe in Hell, so I think they are just....forever dead. But there is very little chance that people who murdered 3,000 innocent people would go to Heaven.

MasterAdnin and others have assured me that Islam declares both the murder of innocents and also suicide to be grave sins.

Anyway, speaking of suicide bombers, many if not most of them may actually be murdered bombers.

Failed Suicide Bomber Turned On Al Qaeda

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- Ahmad al Shayea is the rarest of truck bombers -- he survived his suicide mission in Iraq even though the blast from his bomb was strong enough to kill 12 bystanders.

"They told me to take it to an address in Baghdad. As soon as I got there the truck exploded," said the native of Saudi Arabia. He survived by jumping out of the truck.

Al Shayea renounced terrorism and returned to Saudi Arabia, where he works to convince would-be insurgents and terrorists to give up their deadly ways.

"I think God took me out of death to show others what can happen," he told CNN. "If you join al Qaeda, they will use you, and maybe you will die." Hear why al Shayea turned his back on al Qaeda »

Al Qaeda propaganda videos glorify so-called foreign fighters in Iraq like al Shayea. It has recruited them from countries all across the Middle East.

Some Iraqi officials say more Saudis than any other nationality have responded to al Qaeda's call. Saudi officials and the U.S. military deny that claim. But Saudi sources do admit that more than 800 young Saudis have gone to Iraq to fight. That's far more than the Saudi government has acknowledged until now.

Since 9/11, when 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis, the oil rich kingdom has been accused of spreading radicalism. It's a claim that stings this longtime U.S. ally, which also finds itself in al Qaeda's cross hairs.

So now, Saudi officials say they are escalating their fight against homegrown al Qaeda militants. Former insurgents and terrorists like al Shayea are their chief weapon in the battle for the hearts and minds of young Saudis.

"The reality behind it is the religious misunderstanding of Islam, so we have to correct the ideas," said Dr. Turki Al-Otayan, a psychologist.

Al Shayea and hundreds of other Saudis who were aligned with terrorists are being re-educated in prisons and rehabilitation centers. They are taught that al Qaeda's emphasis on a violent approach to Islam is wrong.

The program offers early release from prison. It's available only to captured jihadis who demonstrate a willingness to change over the course of repeated interviews with specialists. Al Shayea said he was questioned by security forces, then clerics, then psychologists.

"They looked at my mood, listened to me. They were nice," he adds.

Al-Otayan said the review is thorough.

"We make sure he understands dialogue. We make sure he is not just lying. So it is not an easy job I can assure you," he said.

The Saudi government says more than 1,000 former al Qaeda recruits have been through the program. Seven hundred of them are now free. Critics, mainly from the country's security forces, fear mistakes could allow some al Qaeda fighters back on the street.

A native of Saudi Arabia, al Shayea was just 19 when he went to Iraq to fight for al Qaeda against American forces. He was angered, he said, by scenes of U.S. troops killings his fellow Muslims.

"I went to Iraq with Saudi men because jihad is a duty for every Muslim," he said. "I went to Iraq to fight the jihad and kill Americans."

He was hoping to take up arms against Americans, but said he never envisioned himself as a suicide bomber. After his truck bomb exploded, al Shayea was captured and paraded on Iraqi TV. Burned and bandaged, he was blamed for the death of 12 bystanders. He confessed.

Iraqi security officials deported him to Saudi Arabia. Today, with the backing of the Saudi government, al Shayea gets his anti-al Qaeda message out on fliers that include pictures of him before and after his bombing. He has become the anti-Al Qaeda example.

"I learned my lesson, and others will learn as well," he said.
    Poor stupid terrorist.

Taking the life of an innocent is the ultimate sin Islam, coupled with another grievous sin of committing suicide, there is little to no doubt these men are going to hell.

Well, probably quite a few are duped, as in the case of the Palestinian kid a few years ago, but a grown person? And it's only his word, ofcourse.

Anyway, just for a second I thought of Michael Jackson, looking at that pic.

Now, I'm not a scholar of Islam (yet) but to my knowledge the Verses of the Sword are not actually part of the Koran, but were added later as a sort of validation to war when the Koran itself speaks of peace and tolerance.

Anyway, if you go to the most basic thoughts of faith and belief, I would say that everyone, these hijackers included, would go to wherever they believe they are going. In other words, if you believe you'll go to heavan, you're there, hell the same, and if you think nothing happens, well, nothing will. This is hard to swallow, since I doubt I'd be alone to say that the men who flew the planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon should be suffering all that which was said in the first news excerpt, but to themselves, those who really are control of their own paths, this would be obsene and untrue.
A hard fact to swallow, but the only one that really makes sense.
