    Icon5 Retraining Generals and Ambushing

    Gentlemen!

    I have two questions.

    (1) What do I have to build to be able to retrain my generals? They are losing their bodyguards. I have built through the building browser but can't figure out what I have to do to "retrain" them.

    (2) Is there any way to force a general to ambush where I want him to? Currently I have to keep moving him back and forth until I eat up all his movement, and he always ambushes on the last move.

    Cheers and thanks
    OB

    1. you can only upgrade his armor and weapons, not retrain his bodyguard. if you let him be, his guard will automatically grow back though. enthusiastic followers and such.
    2. on the campaign map you see trees. if you park your general in there, he'll ambush any army passing by. "ambush in place, SIR!"

I'm playing with Parthia and about half of my generals have at least one gold chevron. The bodyguards seem to keep their experience when they regenerate in the city, so you don't need to retrain them.

Oh, woe unto those who face the charge of my faction leader's 90+ strong, three gold chevron powered unit...

Like Delvecchio said "Ready to Ambush!"

although it doesn't work at all it's better just to attack them

with a general who has experience in night battles
