    Default garrison script balance.

so how does the capital of lithuania which is a wooden palisade town take out 8 consecutive crusader armies?

    garrison script.

how many knights and farmers can possibly inhabit and respawn on the outskirts of some wooden palisade tribe town?

    balanced or not? discuss

i don't care if it's balanced. as long as it's fun. and i think that is fun

btw: the units lithuania gets during these sieges (lit knights, lit guards) and only because of these sieges... they are (still) missng in the edb.

i really dont care how many troops spawn, i only care about their quality, but at least in my 3.03 campaign it was ok, maybe re-check the new factions if the troops are so awesome, but i dont believe it to be the situation

What? I thought that garrison script works only when human besiege AI settlement (not rebel).

Only issue I have with the garrison script, is that it tends to give AI too large of armies too quickly if you do what I do (mod the descr_strat so all rebel settlements are garrisonless - lets the AI expand to its max by the early 1200 AD range, making the game a lot more fun I think) as they keep besieging one another, generally ineffectively.

Depending on if I want to give one faction a little bit of a shift or not, to see how the balance of power might shift depending on the outcome of a battle, I'll give one side more units with the create_unit command. Or if I'm besieging a city, I'll make the siege more epic by giving myself a bunch of fodder units, and the enemy a bunch of its top units. Had an epic battle at Venice doing that. They actually WAITED at the gate and when my ram broke it down, they CHARGED OUT OF IT to hold me back from getting into the city! First fun siege attack I've ever had on M2TW.

Also, if you want to give the Lithuanians the Lit Guard and Lit Knight units, to the one poster who suggested they can't be recruited, just go to the export_descr_buildings.txt in the DLV_Ext -> Data folder 'n go to one of the higher stables. Copy a random cavalry unit, type in "Lit Guard" or "Lit Knight" and then put it that only "lit," (remember to put the comma) can recruit it.

    lol, i already did that...

just wanted to mention it (again) in case one of the dlvelopers comes around and reads it...

but somehow it seems that noone plays lithuania or the ones who do know how to make 'em work the way they are supposed to. with them spear militia generals, tss, tss, tss.
