    Default AutoResolve unbalanced ???

I've started play lastest version of dlv last night, i went to few battles and the autoresolve even giving 80% of success the human player seems lose the battle and sustain heavy casualities.

i've tested in several cases same number, same troops, same battle and differences are very cleary.....AR clear defeat, Play on Battle Clear victory, any opinion about it ?

or its a simple way to make every player play on battlefield if he don't want lost 2/3 of the army

Maan, that game is so slow as is, so i pretty much always fight on battle map, or i doomed to stare on screen all time.

What a purpose to AR battles? That game is all about battles, because AI skills at campaign map inferior to many lowlevel games.

    you're right

but imagine how would be having 10-15 battles per turn O_o fight them all, anyway i think on same way, i prefer play the battles *grab the norse axe and slaughter them'all*

as a house rule, i only fight battles with my king and heir plus upcoming heir.

sometimes i play siege defenses, when it's about important cities.

and for auto-resolving: i like it when i take heavy losses. makes the game harder.

I recognized that Autoresolving usually constitutes a great risk in DLV. So the only battles I actually autoresolve are minor ones. The garrison script usually forces me to use larger stacks in most cases. And as usual, I tend to fight my battles with those manually, especially if they are being led by generals whom I have carefully given titles, swords and other items and which developed a "personality" over time. I never risk to lose them in autoresolve.
From the pride and arrogance of the Romans nothing is sacred. But the vindictive gods are now at hand. On this spot we must either conquer, or die with glory (Boudiccas Speech, Tacitus, Annals, XIV, 35)

i share same opinion about use king or heir, but this its hard, when you build a empire and starts being impossible keep your enemies out of your lands this when you've more than one front (war).

but i like play battles in special in scandinavia, my first battle this was night (alot dark, fog, snowing) O_o i bearly see my mans lol

Auto-resolve seems useless unless I completely dwarf the enemy army

I use(d) AR in many battles in vanilla M2TW or other mods - how many times (per turn) I have to fight almost the same battle with about the same forces... I get bored so fast... And if I'd like to see those musketeers ever I have to keep the game going even with some losses on my side. So I Auto Resolve some (quite a lot) not-that-important battle (with rebels and some smaller enemies) leaving the biggest ones (and hardest) to myself.

This is the only way to if I don't want to get (so) bored and make quite a few turns in a big empire late game (starts are the most interesting so I fight every battle).

It would be nice if AR would work better - not giving any advantage to human player (I ALWAYS can have less casualties battling myself) but also reasonable enough to have any use of this...
