    Default A few trait suggestions

    Hey all--
I'm deep in a trio of campaigns (Genoa, Byz, and Denmark) in PDER v.0.4 (pre-Kingdoms), and have a few trait suggestions I've come up with in the midst of playing. I'm opening this thread so I have a place to put them as I encounter something I think would be cool. I'm not a scripting genius, but I know there's people here who are, and can tell me if I'm nuts or not .

    My first offering:
the Grandmaster of Malta ancillary ought to trigger the Hospitaller Knight ancillary as well, Malta being the home base of the Hospitallers. If the character in question is the Grandmaster of Malta, it would follow that he would be a Hospitaller himself and have a retinue of them.

I never played Rome until after Medieval II, and even then only for a little, but their trait system was pretty awesome...

Maybe if I can find some help....

I'm willing to help come up with ideas/concepts if there's a scripter out there willing to work on it with me. My scripting skills suck.

Ideally, I'd like to implement more traits and scripting. But right now, I pretty much have my hands full with creating units for the new factions. One unit a night is what I've been pumping out for Georgia. And I only have a 2-3 more models to use not counting mounted and archer ones that will use infantry models.

Hopefully for the next next version I can get down to working on more traits!

Something else that I would like to see is a "crown" system like in The Long Road. TLR crowing system is simple and it adds a nice rating system for each of your different kings. I think that the crowing system for Dlv is good but you really have to pay attention to how old you king is and where your heir is located at the TOD of your current king. Too much micro managing for me personally most of the time.

I was also thinking of a trait similar to the "royal blood line" but for the adopted members of your family and or members who have married into the family. Maybe, who knows, Im just brain stormin a bit.

    Cheers
