How To Get the Knights

one thing i love about M2TW is when the teutonic, hospitaller, or templar knights ask to build a chapter house in ur nation. when im the HRE, the teutonic's are practically my bread and butter (even if they might not be my best, they're definatly my favorite).

but theres something i've always wondered. what exactly do you have to do to get them to build a chapter house? it seems like it happens randomly and it almost never happens in the settlements i want it to.

my question is: what do the knights look for when they want to build a chapter house? is it random chance, or do they look for specific actions or buildings?

After checking the data files...

1. Going on Crusades
2. Declaring war on Muslim Factions
3. Having a faction with high Muslim population as your neighbors. (Hospitallers)
4. Having a faction with a high Pagan population as your neighbor. (Teutons)
5. Having a general with high Chivalry.

also dont leave crusades, it will count against getting a chapter house

Consider that the guild offers to you when you reach a threshold of 100, and the above action posted by Hellbent increase points, if you for exemple send 4 generals on crusade, in less than two crusades you get the knights

On a slightly different note, I think that once you get the guild, the more knights you recruit the more guild offers you get, can anyone confirm this?

Also, once you except an offer of a major chapter house, do you stop getting offers for minor houses in other settlements, because I find this happens?

No, you can still get offers for other minor chapter houses.
You cannot however get any more offers for a Major chapter house.
and there can be only one guild hq on the map at any one time.

These knights are awesome.

Almost as strong as general's bodyguard and recruitable in cities and castles.

With enough of these, you can go through the whole early period as Venice without any castles.

Spear militia, Pavise Crossbow, and Hospitallar/Tuetonic Knights = Complete Ownage.
