Default Turn lenght and other questions about Kingdoms

    Hello,

Sorry guys, if I haven't found this topic in forums (if it exists at all), so I want to ask about my problem here. I cannot find where to change the lenght of a turn, and to make years to be shown instead of turn numbers for those four campaigns of Medieval II - Kingdoms expansion pack. I know how to do this for original M2TW.. also I managed to unlock all the factions for the Kingdoms expansion, but I cant solve that issue. Please help. Thank you very much! Good luck

Go to the folder X:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

X = hard drive and americas is the campaign you want. Open the file descr_strat.txt and you will see below the factions section the following lines:
    start_date 1521 summer
    end_date 1721 summer
    timescale 1.00

    marian_reforms_disabled
    rebelling_characters_active
    gladiator_uprising_disabled
    night_battles_enabled
    show_date_as_turns
    brigand_spawn_value 80
    pirate_spawn_value 80
If you change the time scale to 2.00 or 0.5 you will change the length of the turn. If you put an ; in front of the line show_date_as_turns you will disable that line and the years will be shown. This will only work with a new campaign.
Officer to a soldier who refuses to fight: There three types of soldiers who don't have to fight. They are called KIA, MIA and POW and you are not one of them.

    Tosa will be missed.

Thank you very much. The problem was, that I haven't found out, that "imperial_campaign" folders exist separately for every Kingdoms campaign, and that they are located in "mods" folder. You helped me a lot. Thank you! Good luck!

    Best wishes, Mindaugas
