I did it I have done what i thought was impossible.... I made the Pope become my vassal!!!

I don't know lmao. I was at war with Venice and obviously the pope said ceasefire for 7 turns. but I'm not about to just turn my fully stacked and blood thristy army around. So i took Venice and got excommunicated.

I then say to my self " that Pope son of a b is going down" so i sent my army and began a siege of Roma. But then i looked down towards Scilily and noticed a Diplomat of mine standing their. So i lifted the siege to see if the pope would Be smart enough to ceasefire and Reconcile me.

When your on your Diplomacy screen with the faction your at war with you ALways, and i mean always click 'Becoem Vassal' to see if they would accept it. So i did it with the pope and below it said "Balanced". i have alot of money and map information. it then said Very Generous, and i know he is totally going to Reject..... but the old fool accepts.

I am now getting 10,000 every turn from the old man. Papal states are very rich.

It may cost you up to 10,000 for every pip you want to go up; that's what it usually costs me. The pope is more than willing to let your king buy his way into heaven; just send money, lots and lots of money.
