Faction tree problem

I'm posting this as a new topic because I've seen the question being asked several times (without being answered), and I'm rather puzzled by it myself.

A while into the game (around the year 1200), the faction tree gets bugged and only shows the founder and his wife. Nothing else shows, and all your generals, wives, princesses and children are gone. Wiped clean.
This has happened to me every time I've gotten that far.

Now... why does this happen?

(I would be happy with an "everyone else is clueless too" answer too

)

Ehh hehheh. I haven't encountered this (yet), though I did get to the year 1250. I've never got that far again, mind you. But I'm guessing your family had lots of children? Ex. You married & adopted at every chance you got.

i have a quite similar problem...after several generation, i only see the top side of the tree, because there is no sidebar to drag down to see the lower part of the tree

I've had that problem too, but I only had to wait a little while before I finally got that bar for scrolling. Another generation goes by that is off the screen, and it should give you the bar.

Oh? Damn, I got so sad when it disappeared so I gave up and started another game every single time it happened

I don't quite have this problem, but what I do have is Alexius being married to Canute at the start of my campaign...doesn't stop them having kids though

I've had this several times. It happens when you adopt in from a different faction. It's a nasty little bug.
