Curse Gamespy!!!

Greetings great administrators and people of the Total War Forums!

I am [WOT]{{E}}General_Vladimir of the Warriors Of Troy clan, and our clan and many other clans in the Total War Community have an issue that is bugging us heaps.

This issue is the constant problem of Gamespy and its connection in both the MTW2 lobby and the RTW lobby. The problem is that suddenly, about 3/7 nights per week (or maybe more, because I don't play constantly - 24/7) and the lobby cuts out, kicks us off and when we log back in it says connection problem, or alternatively, it doesn't let us in at all.

This time, this moment in time, I got kicked at 7:10 pm EST Australia, Brisbane, while setting up a game (11 pple or so were in the lobby) then I couldn't reconnect. It is really frustrating both myself and the rest of the Total War Community. The debarkle and failue of the online multiplayer connection recently has really hit a climax, and I will take this to SEGA and Gamespy to solve this issue, not just for myself, but for everyone else who plays a Total War game, because this issue will lose not only members of the TW communities, but hopeful mp people.

Thats a game spy issue. Honestly don't know why CA uses game spy cause they really suck.

I agree entirely

Around 2 hours after It crashed last night it came back up.

We are getting sick and tired of this. Should I take it to Creative Assembly and SEGA?, because I, and many of my comrades, are sick and tired of this failure.

I really hope they fix it though. Otherwise MP will become less and less popular due to the problems.

What do you recommend that they use instead?

And yeah, I hate when gamespy screws it up like that and ruins the mp games.

Firstly, thank you for your posts

IT's good to see people are willing to post on this issue

Secondly I agree with Turkeys! Because I think in all the Total War games, instead of selling off mp to another party, to do it themselves. EA did it, so did many other companies, why can't SEGA for MTW2 or Creative Assembly? I see no point because even simple strategy games run their own multiplayer servers and they're better then CA's.

Gotto say though, I'm going to write both an e-mail and letter to both SEGA and CA and tell them that I am fed up with it, and I'm sure alot of other people are.
