New Computer
Hey, I just got a new computer. This is what it is: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....prd77000050006
In case you're too lazy to click the link, which I would be, here are the specs:
- Intel® quad-core technology with 4 complete execution cores, Intel® Viiv™ technology and a built-in TV tuner can handle everything you throw at this PC
- Intel® Core™2 Quad processor Q6600, Intel® Advanced Digital Media Boost, 2GB DDR2 memory; Windows Vista Home Premium, TV tuner, double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW drive, 500GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT graphics, 15-in-1 media manager
So can anyone tell me what to expect playing Medieval II: Total War on it? It's a huge upgrade from my laptopl, which honestly, is fine, but I couldn't upgrade the graphics card (6150) so I really couldn't enjoy the game that much.
And BTW, does anyone know how to eject a disc from a laptop when it won't turn on? The reason I got a new computer is because my laptop is broken, and, guess what? Medieval II is stick in it. So, what should I do, try to pry it open? Or is there a more safe way?

Re: New Computer
What, you bought a PC that has a Q6600 and an 8500GT? Honestly, the 8500GT is pretty poor. But try it and see, can you not take out your laptop CD drive?

Re: New Computer
Alright well I got the disc out of my laptop, thanks to my screw driver, I kind of messed up the disc drive, but whatever.
But why do you say 8500GT is poor? I had a 6150 with a laptop and could run Medieval pretty well on Medium settings.
Basically I'm just trying to find out if I should send it back, because I guess it got some bad reviews, but then I got to a different site and it says it's great for gaming. I mean, I just need a definitive answer really. Is it going to run Medieval well? I mean, high settings, maybe not all maxed out, but fairly high, at a good framerate?
