Kingdoms.exe & --io.file_first

I was wondering if I had to add --io.file_first to the shortcut in order to play americas mod i.e : "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\kingdoms.exe" --features.mod=mods/americas --io.file_first
untill now I have CTD when trying to play the unpacked Data folder
