    The files that are on SS/Data/sounds are (both .dat and. idx): Events, German events (for the german version of the game), Music, SFX and Voice. There is also a folder where are located the new musics from kingdoms, the effect_evt and the one that adds new sounds from kingdoms as well.


    The "extract_sounds.bat" seems to extract the files called Voice1 and Voice3. I've tried to copy them (Voice1 and Voice3) from the original xenophonia and put them on the SS data/sounds and extracted it, but it was no good.

    No audio.dat, or am I doing something wrong? I'm a bit ignorant

    hey, I was wondering if Xenophonia would work with DarthMod? I mean how I can combine it LOL. I ADORE Xenophonia. And I used it only played with it twice so far .

    It's really a very very nice mod. Sounds very professional. i'm amazed actually LOL.

    It seems I might be the ignorant one. DLV doesn't seem to do things the way I do. I haven't found a way to make idx and dat files named anything but audio.dat/idx. Can you tell me the sizes of these dat/idx files in SS\data\sounds and if they're any different from those in the M2TW\data\sounds folder?

    Hm. Try changing the word "danish" there on line 10339 in DLV_ext/data/export_descr_sounds_prebattle.txt to "Danish" (yeah, just a capital D, I think it's a case sensitivity issue), and on line 10340, if it does read "element one_liner", change it to "element ONE_LINER". Then delete the idx and dat files again and send me the new system log after starting the game.

    Hm. That depends on whether Darthmod adds new factions or sounds or music or units any such things. If all it does is tweak the AI and formations (or unit stats or any such things), it should be really simple to combine the two - just drop the contents of the Darthmod folder into the Xenophonia one. I'm not sure what Darthmod does though.

    Sfx: 1Kb/1KB
    Events: 17Kb/6632 Kb
    Music: 1Kb/1Kb
    Voice: 2020 Kb/1059347 Kb

    Now, on the original M2TW folder we have three voice files (Voice1, 2 and 3). Almost all file sizes are different from the ones in SS.

    Voice1: 1482/1048475 kb
    Voice2: 91kb/76166
    Voice3: 1568/560560
    Events: 16/8667
    Music: 7/287246


    But, I guesse I screwed up some of the music files when tried to do somethings by myself that, due to complete ignorance to the subject, ended on a catastrofic failure. Could someone confirm file sizes on SS5.1 plz?

    Hm. This is very curious indeed. I suggest you try unpacking the dat/idx named Voice in SS\data\sounds and tell me what folders you can find in the Voice folder that appears (if there's a voice folder there already, delete it before unpacking).

    East europe still talks like Borat, and Mediterraneans still talk like... Mediterraneans.

    English and Scottish are fine.

    There are no sound files to Spanish, Russians or 'Danish', Just English, Scottish, German, French, East european and Mediterranean Accents.
    Oh, there is the Arabic accent as well.

    So, have I done something wrong? I bet I did

    well, from what I can tell it doesn't effect music files or sounds of any kind, adds loading screens as well though. And it doesn't add any new soldiers or anything like that. it does come in one single installation file that is easy to run.

    Oh, but I do ahve a prob with xenophonia. Not sound problem... I can't see the text when I talk to the French or Germans with a diplomat or a princess. It just shows the file name it should use.

    You must run it using the launcher, or using a bat file that has the --io.file_first option. If you already do, and if you don't have these problems with the Spanish, Italians or Russians, you might have some old files... did you get the addon pack?

    Well, I got all of the files that I was told from your walkthrough and installed it. However, I didn't read everything right at the beginning of the installation process but I did read everything after about 2 or 3 screens LOL.

    Go to your Xenophonia\data\text folder. Look in the files named diplomacy.txt and diplomacy_speech.txt. It sounds like these might be old, so look closely - does the word "xfrench" and "xgerman" appear in both files, or only "french" and "german"? If any of the files has "french" or "german" (without the x), you have an old version. You can fix it yourself by using "replace all" and deleting the .strings.bin files (this will cause the game to make new ones from the txt files upon loading).

    Uhm. I don't know what you could have done wrong... but something got screwed up alright. Are the French and German samples named "xFrench" and "xGerman"?

    If it's in the Xenophonia folder, the easiest way would be deleting the entire Xenophonia folder... but make sure to keep the installation files somewhere safe or you'll have to download those again.

    That sounds messed up. The new French and German soundpacks I uploaded contain only files named "xGerman*" and "xFrench". Are you using old Xenophonia stuff?

    I'm currently using Xenophonia 1E. Sorry if I didn't mention this before, how stupid of me

    Do you think I should download the latest version? Is there any way to download the latest version withou having to download ALL sound files? I have downloaded a lot of them for 1E already

    Yeah, you only need the new French and German soundpacks (and the new installation files). You can still use the other old ones, but remember to get the addon pack (it adds a number of missing Russian sounds).
