Here's an odd problem that seems to only happen with M2:TW. In Vista Business 64, I can play M2:TW at full detail just fine, no problems. When I go to XP SP2, however, I get less than half of the framerate in the menus and campaign map, but the framerate in the battles is the same.

For instance, in Vista, the campaign map runs about 35-40 FPS for a given view. If I load the exact same save game file in XP SP2 and view the same part of the campaign map, tts about 8-10 FPS and is practically unplayable.

This is with the exact same performance settings using the same save game files.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Both installations are using the latest drivers for all hardware. This doesn't happen with any other games. Typically, I get slightly better framerates in XP than I do in Vista. Not a more than 50% drop.
