First meteorite to leave a crater since Sikhote Alin in 1947 I think.where the meteorite left a 100-foot-wide (30-meter-wide) and 20-foot-deep (six-meter-deep) crater,
BTW this Reuters video says 32 feet wide not
100 feet.

That's downright scary. I hope it's just a gas or radiation and not some kind of alien disease against which our bodies have no natural defense...

Any bacteria would have died in the blast anyway, just imagine the temperatures involved.
Why would it not be some strange gas pocket underground, or some dug down stuff. If that was an alien attempt to poison earth, I think we would be dead by now.
Depending on the size of the meteor, bacteria could be alive and well deeper inside the rock, and there are some bacteria that live deep inside rock, can't remember if they are anerobic though. So these bacteria may survive the heat of entry into an atmosphere and the resultant impact.

Radiation is still my guess. Because if its from space it MUST be radio active.

Chance that there are not other 'intelligent' life forms in our Galaxy not to mention the entire Universe itself is slim.
There has to be more 'intelligent' life and at least one form may be more 'intelligent' than the human race somewhere in the Universe and maybe even in our Galaxy.
We are obviously not all that 'intelligent' ourselves anyway.

True. Im not saying we are ... im only saying that even if there is intelligence life form as smart as us they wouldnt have the tech like us to come here. So micro-organisms have a better chance than others
