Default how to remove pinkos? how to fix oil?

    hi

already posted on pinkos my custom battle tests, they worked out opposite as to what i wanted em to be so im dealing with uninstalling problems here...

i wanted to know which steps should i follow to have a clear install of dlv 5.0 after having installed pinkos ontop of it

also, i installed pinkos for 3 reasons:

-oil working (as dlv 5.0 states oil not working in buglist)
    -militias less powerfull
    -battle AI more menacing

i have tested battle AI on custom battle and it couldnt have gone worst
at least in one on one or 3 on 3 battles.

militias were better than regulars and pikes owned the world badly...

anyway, i will give it a look to dlv vanilla battles, maybe i get same results, but hey... gotta give it a try.

so besides AI and balance... the oil thingy stays unkonwn for me as to how the fix works, if anyone has a hotlink to a place that explains how to do it, plz help me.

(if you have achieved already a nice balancing that fixes this things i m mentioning, it would be nice if you post it here)

Default Re: how to remove pinkos? how to fix oil?

    ok

    so i did this:

cheked what files where on /data only by pinkos and they didnt see dangerous, so i simply reinstalled DLV and deleted all .bin files on dlv/data/text and map.rwm

then i checked again all pinkos files and copy over all those that seem relative with particles visualization, arrows, boiling oil...

about boiling oil, i copied over the file descr_boilingoil.txt, thats enough to make it work?

i dont believe there would be any problem just by having some more models and tgas unused by normal DLV

also: i am going to edit the edu so to make militia men less powerfull.

what i have done in my older edu was to set armour values accordingly to what you see the unit is actually wearing, and to set the defense skill according to the unit training in battle

    this in theory helped to:

-better armour means better resistance to arrows, because defense skill is not in the arrows equation, so a full plated pike now has = defense against arrows than a peasant in rags

-less defense skill in battle while retaining full armour values means well equiped militia will resist as much arrows as a regular troop, but when melee comes, the regular troop having better defense skill will outfight all militiamen

-i also change attack values for knife and swords, so a knife never hits harder than a sword

-i also help a little the mongols to be the fearsome warriors they should be by pumping up their defense skill

if this wont work as suppossed, plz give me a hint

EDIT: oil working pretty well, so im almost done here (xbows still have little use on walls, both up and down)
