I was wondering, how old a faction leader can get? Mine is 93 years old, and steel alive and kicking. How about yours?

If I have one that lives past 50, I stuff him in my capital and start improving one or two more generals. Of course, most of my faction leaders always end up running up the arse of the enemy's right flank, and so rarely live to 50. Procreation is key.![]()

My Macedonian faction leader (in an RTR 6 Gold game) managed to get to 98 - I thought he was going to die around 70 but he hung in there.
He had been parked in Pella for most of his life - he was a very good govenor. Pella never got the plague as far as I can recall, maybe at the start of the game when the plague usually breaks out in Pella. Before his lifetime, anyway.

Mine is parked in Roma, and when he was abot 70, i took one of my younger generals to the eternal city, an gave him all of the old guys retinues. Next turn, he got himself about 5 or 6 new ones. How cool si that. Now, i'm getting a new general to Roma to give him those retinues.![]()

The oldest general I have ever had reached 84 and he wasn't the faction leader (actually he buried a couple of faction leaders before he kicked the bucket). Other than that every other member dies at their mid sixties at latest, dunno how you guys make them last that long; it isn't anything related to health infrastructure or traits from what I have seen.
Ooh! i might have the record? 108 years old! It was ages ago, cant remember what mod i was running, may even have been vanilla. Fairly sure he was a Roman faction character, he had about 8 command stars by the time he retired at about 60'ish and loads of management points. Seem to remember i stuck him in Tarentum which had terrible public order and there i left him. He had no negative traits whatsoever, almost a perfect character...
i had one at 106, but i freely admit i was gaming the system.
Playing RTR, right off the bat, I had my Greek Cities faction leader live to 93. He was known as "The Butcher"
I think my oldest faction leader was about 89 but i had a family member of about 98, can't remember exactly as it was about 2 years ago
o_O;;
Crazy. I've played RTW Vanilla for quite a while and now playing lots of RTR, and I never had a character in that age. I think my family members usually die in the age of about 62-66. That counts for typical general-style family members (fighting lots of battles etc.), and also for the governor-style characters (babysitting towns their whole life).
I'm not sure but I think I once had a female character in the age of 70+, but I'm cant be certain about it.
Aaaah, brings back great memories of my Golden Generation in a RTR 6.2 Macedon Campaign. I was about to run out of family members when 5 children were born. They all grew up and when they hit 16, they all had traits like "Born Conquer", "Natural born General/leader", basically any trait that gives a high number of stars. I conquered Rome, Thrace, Egypt and the great nemesis of The Seleucid Empire with them. I think they were born in 265BC and as the last Seleucid city in India got captured they all died within 2 years. The last general died in 163BC. So that's about 5 100 kick a$$ generals...
Gotta play Macedon again![]()
In Imperator II Guanus or whatever hes called (the original faction leader) died aged 85 which is astounding as he normally dies in early 70's
