Don`t get me wrong, it`s a big deal to have things historically accurate at the beggining but, isn`t this game all about rewriting history?

If you want more historical accuracy about a certain faction`s expansion is it possible to give it missions from the council to conquer a certain settlement that that faction actually conquered in history? Or is it hardcoded?

Why don't we just read a history book? Don't even have to play M2 then, save us some time.

Do people really change their capital? Personally I have never changed mine (though it would be a good idea too).

Anyways the ability to change capitals is more historically correct then not being able to.

@ kanarik this is mod not CA

@ acegogo during this mod spain didn't exist it started when in 1469 Aragon and Castille merged when isabelle and Ferdinand got married

@ smarmy reading a good book about medieval politics and warfare only make you aware of the many mistakes the vanilla version had and still exist in many mods, whats wrong with trying to make things more historically correct?

@ xeno thanks for the support

When I read that the first time my initial thought was "catapults can change?" Teach me to read more carefully, eh?

Anyway, administrative seats of power have often migrated from city to city in many growth oriented empires.

What if you lose your capital and recapture it a few turns later...
Shouldnīt you be able to change your capital back?

My suggestion is to play by your own houserules, deciding not to change capital. Much easier than adding it into the mod.

Yes, this is the best way to go. Forcing historical accuracy upon others as if the alternative was somehow exploiting the gameplay seems like a very harsh and unnecessary move.

I for one, play with the 'house' rule that Constantinople stays my capital, no matter how east a majority of my empire moves (I try to piss off the Catholics as little as possible).

@ banjee it is already one of my houserules

@ grimmy, some kingdoms /sultanates did that, like the fatimids moved from tunis to Alexandria Though since so many are focussed on the western point of view of history did Paris ever be the capital of England?

Altering history doesn't mean you have to neglect history totally. And for all those flamers out there I didn't ask for Tiger panzers to bring into the game.

well i rest may case because obvoiously too many want it be just a game

I agree with Acegogo, just because we don't agree with you doesn't mean we are trying to attack you. I didn't like the idea so I voiced my opinion and explained why, same with most of the people here.

Also your part about Condo was pretty tastless, there was no need to insult him like that.

My humble sagestion is this.I saw your great work in the mercenary guild troop roster...But some of them are uselss...What about instad this extended list of mercs you add "local" units by the area and not by the player's faction.
I will give you an example:You have the english faction but you conquer a province in east asia minor. The player's roster in that province could start with armenian or turcoman levy and millitia troops. After several turns(weach means that popullation of the player's origin faction comes to town could unlock medium or heavy type units from the player's faction roster. With this way you could show that local popullations doesn't dissapear in a momment, and it could offer the players the joy of playing with a roster they can hapilly use(for need or just fun)...:hmmm:
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

Why argue on a point as minor as changing your capital? I dont do it, many people dont do it, so whats the problem?

    @Antonius
That was something discussed before Torn went AWOL. Would be nice to see, and would no doubt add a new dynamic to TLR gameplay, but again, we just needs someone with the time and energy to make the changes.

If you know how to do it, do it

(id like to see an "influence" based system, where you have to own a foreign territory for x amount of time before the stronger mercs become available)

Check out my new info cards project for TLR.
And my tutorialon how to make them.

Shouldn't be that difficult to add in boiling oil, especially since it should already be in the engine. If I get a chance I'll look at the retro fit mod but I wouldn't hold my breath if I where you.

Looking forward to the next release, any chance of you breaking down what you change/added? Would be neat to compare TLR's and yours to see what improvements have been down.
