Meso Quest
Hi there
I will shortly be releasing Meso Quest.
This is port of the america's campaign into the grand campaign using Gundugs excellent otherworld map.
In the mod all the vanilla othodox and catholic factions will be playable, along with the new america's factions
Each non meso faction will start with one small settlement, and some high quality armies which are onboard ships travelling to their new settlements. But these ships are at least five turns away from the settlements (this gives the meso factions a chance to build up), and makes the player decide whether to make the journey to the settlement or to head off in a different direction and look for virgin lands. Each faction has horde ability, so if the settlement is lost before their arrival it isnt all over, but the faction will need to fight to find a new base of operations. Slave faction is well financed, so dont expect an easy early blitzkrieg.
The tech trees from the americas will be used. Non meso factions will have limited avialabilty to troops early on, so real strategy is required to survive in this new world setting.
For obvious reasons there is little historic accuracy, but the aim is to bring the americas campaign to a larger stage.

Just an update.
Almost complete
All factions situated and running with tech trees, and Horde capability

Some new (well renamed) units inc

Recruitable generals for all factions
New seperate career path (based on Zappa's work)traits and ancs added for meso, and non meso factions
Garrison Commander (governor) Non meso Factions
Field General (general) Non Meso Factions
Hawk (general) Meso Factions
Dove (governor) Meso Factions
Rebel and Merc pools all done
All that is remaining is renaming map regions to fit americas feel, and some more testing to ensure the platform is solid
