Any governor assignment improvements in Kingdoms/1.3?
I'm suffering in my last campaign because I have to send all the time my Generals inside a city/castle to keep the troops morale, and I really like this feature, but sometimes the fact that a 21yr general eats my income by 1-2k, raises squalor, lower growth, etc is making things more hard than needed IMO. My only alternative is to drink like a hopeless King and think I muUUuzt stop having so many baztards.. :tacticalw
I'm really hoping that someone will tell me that Kingdoms/1.3 solved The Governor Choice at The Pub event, or at least improved it?

It is kind of harsh to have your best generals be such unwelcome guests at the local castle. If they are veterans with high chivalry, the effect is minimal, but God help you if you are working on the dread line of traits and need to winter in friendly turf. You can avoid this by placing a regular governor in the castle, as the general with the higher chivalry tends to get the nod. After the game progresses beyond its infant stages, (and I have more than 2 or 3 governors) I keep one stationed in my "main" castle at all times.
