    Default Rebels in custom battle

    How do you make the rebels/slave playable in kingdoms for the custom battles? (sp and mp)

    Open descr_sm_factions.txt

    Find the Slave faction, should be at the end of the file, and change the custom_battle_availability from no to yes.

    Works for sp, never tried it in mp.

    i know that in rtw it worked
    but in m2tw/kingdoms not
    anyway thx for your suggestion

    This works in m2tw/kingdoms as well. I did it all the time in m2tw and I just tried it in the crusaders campaign.

    You need to add the line --io.file_first to your shortcut, in order for any changes made to show up in game.


    Also the descr_sm_factions.txt you need to change for kingdoms must be in your

    Medieval II Total War folder\ mods\ name of the camping you want to change\data

    Well, all you need are the descr_sm_factions.txt for each of the campaigns.
    But to get them you need to unpack. Or ask somebody to send them to you.

    Here’s the modified descr_sm_factions.txt for the Crusaders Camping.

    Put it in:

    Medieval II Total War folder\ mods\ crusaders\data

    Don’t forget to add the line --io.file_first to your shortcut
