    Default Problems running MTW:II

When I play MTWII the battles are really, really slow, even though I have lots of free memory (25 GB or so) and a half-decent pc (HP Pavilion dv800).

Is the game slow because my pc is just too crappy, or is there a way to fix this?

    Thanks.

You ony have 512mb ram installed.
Thats not enough nowadays for games.
The AMD Turion will do.. but its not extremely fast.
The integrated ATI xpress200 is a slow video'card'.
    Thats why

    lower your settings.
download fraps www.fraps.com to measure your framerate when you test settings.
MTW2 is quite playable above 20fps.

Sorry, I'm a complete retard when it comes to computers - how do I 'lower my settings' ?
Thanks for your help, I really want to get this to work properly!

Moved to The Basement. The discussion now seems to be focused around getting most out of the comp.
RIP Calvin, you won't be forgotten.

Well good for you but my advice still stands, don't play games on a computer that is meant for work.
