    yep.. there are diferent ways..

    I was meaning about copying only the last lines in retrofit file into the darth ones to get boilin oil working. Of course this will not solve the problem but avoid others XD

    you don't have any other mod installed?
    have you tried only Retrofit..?, maybe it could be a Kingdom's issue..

    Am i the only one who has this problem....

    Retrofit does work fast like Normal Darthmod

    and no i don''t have any other mod than only those 2 Retrofit and Darthmod.

    Then i'm not sure about what could be the problem..

    have you tried a "fresh" install..??

    installing retrofit again and copy Darthmod over it once more?

    Naimad thanks i will stop it doesn't work for me and i think that it is that i don't understanding the realy englisch.
    I did try 6 times different way and now it woudn't start up.

    Retrofit works just fine for in "DarthMod realoaded" for Kingdoms (which uses retrofit) I play now it works without any problem. I am just missing custom campaign, but the rest is good.

    Be aware there are some changed files in there as stated by the poster that are not part of the official Darthmod.

    Well lets give it a shot, although I think Naimad explained it very well.

    To play Darthmod in retrofit do the following:

    1. Download retrofit and install it.

    2. Go to Retrofit data folder and back up the following files
    a. descr_walls.txt
    b. descr_projectile.txt
    c. descr_engines.txt
    d. descr_engine_skeleton.txt

    3. Make a back up of retrofits sounds folder.

    4. Copy Darthmod directories and paste them into the retrofit folder and overwrite when asked.

    5. Now open your backed up retrofits descr_projectile.txt, scroll down and copy the boiling oil related entries at the bottom of that file. The entry starts like this;

    projectile oil

    effect ;boiling_oil_set ;uses static emitter,

    6. Paste that entry into the bottom of Darth's descr_projectile.txt and save.

    7. Install back the files you backed up in step 2 above, except projectile.txt since we already modified it.

    8. Overwrite Darth's sounds folder with the retrofit one.

    9. You are set! at this point you can play Dathmod by using the retrofit .bat file.

    10. If you want, you can change the name of retrofit folder and bat file to for example Darth2, you will need then to modify the text in the bat file to say:

    cd ..\..
    kingdoms.exe --io.file_first @mods\Darth2\Darth2.cfg

    11. Also rename retrofit.cfg to Darth2.cfg

    12. Open Darth2.cfg and edit the following line;

    ## relative mod path
    mod = mods/retrofit


    to;

    ## relative mod path
    mod = mods/Darth2

    13. You should be able to launch the mod now with the renamed bat file.

    14. Enjoy!

    He is saying you only need to download an already combined mod in another thread..

    yeh yeh Naimad

    was the world also easy.
    No it isn't just that.
    lets say that it is, why doesn't work on my computer.
    11 times different ways and 3 times install everyting new.
    do you now how long that is, sorry i am not angry...
    but sometimes i think i would be crazy....
    So i wait, wait until someone says ureka and the light is burning.
    that moment i wait and talk and type and read.

    2. I play campaign only, but I shall look at those custom siege - I guess you count on "burning oil problem" - I mean changed file with that stuff. (desc_projectile or something else). I will edit this when I try that siege.

    EDIT:
    Custom siege is working. At least it worked when I was besieged (Large town), didnt try to besiege but I guess it shouldnt differ.

    I can't even try a custom siege with my mod.. i must look at this issue..

    another thing.. have you noticed factions speaking wrong accents like Castilla speaking Scotish and england muslim?

    I play campaign only, custom battles only when I am supposed to test something.
    I didnt notice any language bugs though I have to say I didnt try many factions yet.

    Yes Naimad, Syria has the HRE speeches during battles.

    Also I got a white battle menu screen.

    I have been aware of those statesments but I couldnt try to make it running more, now I see I didnt follow step 2 for 100 per cent and neither step 5 at all (I havent mentioned before that).
    I shall try it one more time for I miss original screens and perhaps some effects which posterīs changes might hinder and perhaps even custom campaing. Thnx again, Naimad too I just missed mentioned "formalities" so thats why I was getting CTDīs.

    You are welcome and note that the harder campaign is available too using these steps.
