    Default issue

Ok i install m2tw clean and fresh.. NO files on it what so ever except for the base.

Then i install you're mod from this page

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=98729

TLR. 2.0.0.... i start the game up, it opens up and crashes a few seconds after. this is NOT an ingame issue, the game wont start period.

it's installed in program files / sega / M2TW. OK no big deal... i'll install the addon.

i install it; it crashes the same way.

My Computer is an VP pavillion, amd athlon [tm] 64x2 dual core processor 460+ 98b mhz 1.43 gb of ram physical adress extension.

I'm not ENTIRELY sure what my video card is exactly, i do know that it CAN handle m2tw i HAVE played it before; and i HAVE played this mod before but i uninstalled everything and reinstalled it.

It's nvidia Geforce somethign something... Bottom line, i DON'T have an ancient computer.

I'm going to reinstall the mod... but in the mean while provide for me any sort of alternative possibilities.

Did you patch the base game to 1.2 before installing TLR 2.0?

TLR 2.0.0 first... Addon second; it didn't matter if 2.0.0 was in.. or that and the addon, they both crashed.

tell me how i can figure out what my video card is and i'll tell you.

Brendan916 I have the same problem, sort of.

When I do a clean install and put in any mod (TLR included) when I first try to play a campaign it crashes. So I start up the game again try the campaign again and it works.

Happens only once when you try to play the game after installing TLR (for me at least).

If you haven't try playing the campaign again. If that fails uninstall and delete the folder if its left behind (both TLR and MTW2 total war).

Download patch 1.2 (game cant play without this)
Download again 2.0 (slight chance of corrupt download).
    Dont Download the add-on

Install MTW2, patch 1.2, TLR 2.0 play campaign (if a crash try right away again).

If that doesnt work then its likely something on your end.

One way to find some info about your system is to right-click on the green little NVidia icon near the clock in the bottom right corner of your desktop (which should be seen there if you have a GeForce card), select NVidia's control panel in the list there and then system information under the help menu. Useful info should now be listed under Display here.

GeForce 6150 LE; that's what it says.

And NO the game does not not not NOT crash before a capaign. it Crashes imediatly after being started up, sort of like opening a window, and then it exits itself 2 seconds after.

why would intalling the addon before the 2.0.0 do anything if the addon is just to change the visual effects of the game? i really don't think this is a graphics issue.

However... i'll still try it, i have the long roads 2.0 installed already, i'm going to uninstall it... install 1.2, then reinstall.

Brendan if you haven't installed 1.2 the game will crash no matter what.

The add-on does change graphics, and generally speaking is fine but has been loosely linked to some peoples crashes. Installing the add-on before TLR while likely have TLR overwriting the add-on. So install after the main TLR mod.

As a side note, graphic problems is the number one reason why most games crash in general; closely followed by programming.

Ok problem solved; now i have 1 question, how do i REMOVE cheats from my game options, i'm too tempted to use them durring the campaign so i'd rather not have them at all.

Just don't cheat... I don't think that its optional to remove them, but of course it is optional to use them...

I have never heard of someone trying to remove the feature, mostly people trying to add to it

Trying searching the main forums for that answer, and let us know if you find anything
