    Default Porting units from kingdoms

    Hello,

im currentry trying to get the hell out of the units in kingdom (egypt units) to dlv5.0.

Im starting with Ghulams. I edited the battles_modeldb. It seems i got the correct syntax because dlv starts up nice and smooth. The unit "Ghulam" is implemented there. So far so good. Here the problem comes: When i edit the export_descr_unit.txt with the ghulam related lines form the kingdoms export_descr_unit.txt dlv crashes. The logfile tell me:

    Code:
    11:50:43.015 [system.rpt] [always] CPU: SSE2
    11:50:43.015 [system.rpt] [always] ==== system log start, build date: Aug  3 2007 version bld-medieval2-kingdoms-104 (45562) ===
    11:50:43.015 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_0.pack
    11:50:43.015 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_1.pack
    11:50:43.015 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_2.pack
    11:50:43.015 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_3.pack
    11:50:43.015 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_4.pack
    11:50:43.015 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/localized.pack
    11:50:44.968 [script.err] [error] Script Error in DLV_ext/data/export_descr_unit.txt, at line 16319, column 2
Could not find soldier battle model for unit type 'Ghulam'.
11:50:44.968 [data.invalid] [error] DATABASE_TABLE error found : error reading record from file DLV_ext/data/export_descr_unit.txt.
Im sure i copy all of the files mentioned in the modeldb file into the corresponding dlv folders. What the hell do i wrong.

And the error messages leads me to the question:

Where do i find this file:

    descr_models_battle

    ???

Thank you for any kind help.

You actually have to add the the Ghulam entry from the Crusades battle_models file into the DLV one...

There are a few threads on the steps needed to copy over Kingdom's units...

Here's a link to mine - it's for Stainless Steel, but the same method applies:
