What units are these?

If you start an Egyptian campaign, you will see spearmen who look like captains. Who are these guys? Thanks if you know.

Far as I know there are no captians that look like any units I can guess, are you playing a mod? and also a screenshot would help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a guess is that they are nile spearmen, the second spear unit Egypt can recruit.
P.s. the name of the unit will appear if you hold your mouse cursor at the selected unit.

Just go to custom battle, all the recruitable units of every faction are in there. And I tihnk Domitius is correct, you are thinking of Nile Spearmen, the City Barracks level Phalanx capable spear unit. (Short Spears)

I looked I can't find them. Well put it like this. Start a custom battle and use Egypt. The leader has that egyptian crown on his head. In the beginning of the Egyptian campaign video, it shows units that look just like him except they apear to be like the nile spearmen. I don't know I thought it was strange.:hmmm:

Yea, but the skins are pretty close to Pharaohs guards, but not exactly. But as far as I can remember I didn't see any difference.
