The year is 1700, Northern Europe. The Swedish Empire is at it's height, virtually being unchallenged in the Baltic, controlling large areas on the shore of the Baltic sea. King Karl XII is a young and talented king, hoping to further expand the borders of the Swedish empire. In the East, Russia rises. Peter I, Czar of Russia is reforming the army and trying to make Russia into a more European state. To accomplish this, Russia must secure herself a piece of the Baltic. Peter takes a gigantic army to invade Sweden's Baltic provinces, will this massive army be victorious? West of Sweden, Frederick IV hopes to defend Denmark from the Swedish empire and perhaps reclaim areas in Southern Sweden. Saxony also joins the war for some reason I cant remember.
Right, my favorite war. I'm obsessed about it, it was pure awesome. Why not have it in EUIII? To actually give the Swedish a chance as Sweden was alone against a zillion countries, only Saxony, Denmark-Norway and Russia should be playable. Or maybe Saxony replaced with Poland-Lithuania, although that might make it a bit unfair again. (Amazingly Sweden managed to knock all besides Russia out of the war in a matter of months)
The game begins in 1700 and we only need 4 players. We could play once or twice or maybe more if the players agree a week. I'd like a very skilled player to be Sweden. Russia has a massive army in the beginning, but it falls apart rather quickly because of attrition. Sweden has a very good army. I'm not sure about Denmark-Norway and Saxony. I'll be Russia as I'm probably the suckiest player there is and will fail horribly at it, don't be surprised to see Swedish troops marching in Moscow a few months after the game begins
What about the time though? I'm Eastern European Time and I'd like it to be in the day. So this game is probably more suitable for Europeans. We can discuss it if we have the players together and find a time that suits everyone
The players:
Russia- Estlander
Sweden- Scottishranger
Denmark- King Edward III
Saxony- Ferrets
