Minimal UI
For performances' sake, I've always played with the minimal user interface. I enabled this option for your mod (tweaked the preferences.txt in \bi), but somehow, it doesn't seem to work as I still get the full UI.
Is there any way I can switch to the minimal UI?

Hmm, I just tested it and it works just fine... Did you by any chance change the Bi preferences.txt instead of the FATW one? The FATW one is in the bi/ci folder.
