On this day many innocent lives were lost, and many more suffered the consenquences of the terrorists actions.
I wish the family's of lost love ones to know that they'll never stand alone anymore.
Remember 9/11

It's been six years. You can only do remembrance threads on the first, fifth, tenth, twentieth, twenty-fifty, fiftieth, seventy-fifth, hundredth (etc) years since the event.
... and we still don't have bin Laden's head.
What were you guys doing when you heard the news?
I was in seventh grade, eating a Twix candy bar.

I was asleep. My mum comes into the room going "quick, kids, America's been attacked it's on TV"! I was like "Holy ****, it's a nuclear war! We're all screwed!". After watching the TV for a few minutes I got the jist of what had happened, and I have to say was quite relieved to find it was only a couple of planes crashing into buildings. Bad, sure, but not the end of the world like I thought when I was woken up.
I'll never forget September 11 Because:
1) It's my Mum's birthday.
2) September 11, 2001 is when our TV blew up.
Seriously though, when is this going to stop?
"Oh my god, 9/11 happened exactly 36 years ago! Quick, get the President to say something, and broadcast weeping relatives, and show the towers collapsing... again!!!!!"
Don't get me wrong, I think the attacks were a tragedy, but I'm sick and tired of having terrorism and 9/11 crammed down my throat.
Sixth Grade. My teacher made us pray. I'm sure that helped.![]()

My twisted humor wanted to make a Youtube Video of the World Trade Center of people jumping out of buildings to the song "It's Raining Men". Consider that my confession
(By the way, I do think it was a tragedy, but, the evil thought did creep into my mind after hearing the song.)
I had just come home from school (6th grade) when I saw the news on TV. At first I didn't care at all, and afterwards I didn't really care either to be honest.

What a ridiculous thread. It was 6 years ago. Stop dwelling on it.
Yeah, same here. Also, it looked pretty cool seeing on the news the plane crash into the building and seeing how it collapsed, and there being lots of smoke and all.
In my school my teacher a few days after the event said that we would do silent minute for the victims. Of course I didn't give a **** about that, and thought it was plain ridiculous as I didn't even know anyone who died there.

Actually, I wasn't sarcastic.
Catalonia and the US remember this sad day. 293 years since the defeat of a nation, 6 years since the attack on the two towers.
We will never forget.
(...) and that unfortunate People were afterwards forced to undergo the utmost Miseries of a Siege, in their Capital City of Barcelona; during which, great Multitudes of them perished by Famine and the Sword, many of them have since been executed; and great Numbers of the Nobility of Catalonia, who, for their Constancy and Bravery in Defence of their Liberties, and for their Services in Conjunction with Her Majesty and Her Allies, had, in all Honour, Justice, and Conscience, the highest Claim to Her Majesty's Protection, are now dispersed in Dungeons throughout the Spanish Dominions.
