Kingdoms closes without warning...

In the Teutonic and Crusades campaign every time I go into a battle the game closes out and gives me an error. It happens while the battle map is loading or just a split second after it has loaded. This doesn't happen in the Brittania campaign so why is it happening in these two? Very frustrating that I bought a game that only allows me to play 25% of it. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

I was thinking of video card problems, but I may be wrong as you said that it works with the Brittania Campaign.

I'm guessing you have unpacked the files for these... it seems like you need to delete the descr_geography_new.db & descr_geography_new.txt files.
if so this thread can help you otherwise i suggest you unistall and reinstall fresh.

Well for me, I was playing the Britannica campaign and it unexpectedly closed and said "It experienced an unspecified error and will now exit".

What I was doing, during the pre battle screen I had an army and a reinforcement army coming from a city. When I pressed the button to allow the reinforcement army to be controlled by the AI during battle then I right clicked to see the status of my reinforcement army, thats when the crash occured upon pressing the right mouse button on the portrait of my reinforcement army coming from my city.

that sounds like a UI error, either that or descr_models_battle. are you using any mods? or have used any on your M2TW installation before installing kingdoms?

I haven't unpacked any of the files. I don't have any mods installed and I'm just playing the game as it is right out of the box (I am up to date on the patches). It really makes no sense why it works in Brittania but not the other campaigns. At first I thought it might be my PC couldn't handle the # of units. But then I had a battle of 1500 Welsh vs 2K Brits and the game ran fine. Then I play the Teutonic and have 1000 T-knights fight 500+ Liths and the darn program crashes again. I get an unspecified error and that's it.

it may seem like a hassle to un install re install but i dont think there will be another solution if you are running the vanilla game with errors like this.

back up your save files and when you have un installed everything including M2TW i suggest you go to the installation directory and delete all the files left behind (if any) restart the PC, update your videocard drivers, directx, and restart again.
now when you install the game and play you should have 100% workability.
if not you have bad disks or corrupt download.

I have same problem for now Crusaders Campaign. On American nothing happened, at least a few times. I havent system log file because of reinstalling game at this time but it was mentioned a lot of missing file. For solution I tried;

Upgrading video cards, sound cards and mainboard even harddisks drivers. Only change after those, blue screen errors become lots of unspesificied errors. At the and i am trying to reinstall a fresh game with deleting all medieval things (registry keys, prefech files even shorcuts.)

if i have any solution, write here very quickly because i searched the forum for a solid solution. Nothing really works.

I had this problem too, battles randomly crashing, I had to lower the graphics, sounds weird, but I had too, then I haven't run into this anymore.
