Mounted/Dismounted Knights
Is there a way for there to be a single knight unit that you choose to mount/dismount in the deployment stage. I vaguely remeber Medieval Total War haveing a system like this. You would be able to have the one knight unit that can defend the walls just as good as charging home on the plains. And if it was coded into the original Medieval shorly someone can code it into M2:TW.

Hardcoded perhaps?
Your suggestion has been heard a lot of times before, but it seems a bit impossible to do.

Re: Mounted/Dismounted Knights
Ahhh, maybe not exactly. In LOTR TW, which Wles based on Alexander, the Nazgul riding Fell beasts when killed respawn at BaradDur, (not sure if they still have fell beasts) and maybe at Dol Goldur. And it seems the Kingdoms expansion provides all those add-ons plus some.
I think that there might be some wiggle room in that direction, but I also think it would probably be a nut roll, though it would be cool to have such a multi-purpose unit.

Oh well, if it can't be changed well that's a dam shame but I'm no modder so all I can do is hope that someone can change it or CA will in say a patch. Has anyone asked CA to patch it into the game? Still a great game though, but this would make it a hell of alot better.

Re: Mounted/Dismounted Knights
As far as I know, it is impossible to have a cavalry unit dismount, without creating a totally separate unit and naming it "dismounted ...". Even if we did ask CA, it is unlikely that they would patch it in, as it would probably require alot of hard code changes.
