file_first for Kingdoms
I dont think anyone has really noticed that all the vanilla games run off the same .cfg file: M2TW, and all 4 Kingdoms campaigns.
So that means you dont have to alter every shortcut for it to run, you can just add this to your vanilla cfg file and all 5 games run fine:
Code:
[io]
file_first = true
Use the normal mod switch method for mod folders.

Re: file_first for Kingdoms
*Cough* Brainfart right now, but which file is this? medieval2.preference? 'cause I'm editing that and it's not working...been a while, though, since I've had to do this. Do I need to make a .bat file, as well?

Re: file_first for Kingdoms
medieval2.preference.cfg
Then just launch from the shortcuts installed when you installed Kingdoms.

Re: file_first for Kingdoms
When Kingdoms is installed you mean? I dont think so, though on this machine I uninstalled M2, reinstalled, and then installed Kingdoms without changing anything at all. On my other machine I installed Kingdoms into an unpacked M2 folder, ran the unpacker which overwrote all previously unpacked files and everything ran fine. I dont remember having to go back and fix all my cfg settings but then I havent really played on that machine either. I will look tomorrow.
