Problem Running M2TW Kingdoms

Hi all,

When I put in the M2TW Kingdoms disk, it whirls and twirls, then merely beeps for a while. Then stops. Doesn't load.

I go into My Computer, it doesn't display on the CD Drive thing (Yes, I have a DVD Player in my PC) I go Exploe, nothing. My PC isn't reading the disk.

All my PC Stuff is up-to-date.

How can I make my PC read the disk? Is anyone else having this problem? What should I do?

And it works with other DVDs?

Yes. Other DVDS work in my PC. I haven't tryed game with others yet though. But others have similar prob, and this my secon d product.

I have same problem. This problem only occurs with medieval II (so far), i use vista too if that matters.
In any case i have found that if i do a restart and put the disk in once back in windows then it might be recognized otherwise dvd drive makes a noises for 5 minutes or more and does not act as if disc in drive. I tested and found that disc 2 does same thing. I tested with a different game and disc was recognized so as far as things go problem is with M2tw or the discs.

have not found any other way to fix problems aside from unistall/reinstall and the restart i mentioned earlier.

If you are able to install the game just use daemon tools and a dvd image so you don't need the DVD in the drive. It's not illegal if you own the game and aren't entering into piracy in any way.

Why can't more game developers follow Relic's lead and make games not need the DVD/CD in the drive.
