Hi Zeph,
That's wonderful !

That will be great if you include english too in next time.
But I'm already happy because I'm french, you know.

Hey, so I finally got around to uploading this after these replies. I wanted to test out a campaign fully, but I'm a very slow campaigner. Keep in mind, I'm an amateur and didn't really want to do anything too advanced. All my tweaks were done to suit personal taste. Anyhoo, I decided to:
-Add 3 new units for both England and France recruitable later in the campaign
-England: English Guard, Serpentine, Reiters
-France: Mounted Crossbowmen, Dragoons, and Serpentine
-Make it easier to earn prestige points via battles and being passive to compensate for lack of mission for French And English
-Add General and City to Spanish so the AI will not get run over in the beginning
Oh, and the photoshop work is pretty shoddy, so you can just edit the TGA file yourself if you don't like it!
Enjoy!
First, unpack all files from C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\tools\unpacker for the Americas campaign.
Then create a .bat file and input this in it:
"kingdoms.exe --features.mod=mods/americas --io.file_first"
I don't remember that step too clearly. You're best bet is to go on these forums and figure out how to do the file switch thingy.
In post #13:
Place
descr_strat.txt
campaign_script.txt
descr_win_conditions.txt into
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
Then Place:
descr_sm_factions.txt into
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data
Go to Post #22:
Place
export_descr_unit.txt
export_descr_buildings.txt
into
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data
Place export_units.txt
into C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data\text
Extract the zipped files and place
battle_models.modeldb into
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data\unit_models
Then place accordingly the TGA files in each factions here:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data\ui\units
I'm sorry for the slow reply. I hope I didn't mess that up.
I'm always having a CTD and a message "an unspecified error..." when I'm starting a battle (campaign and custom). I followed all the install instuctions.
Im guessing that's because the install insturctions fail to mention that when you unpack you need to check to see if 2 files title descr_geography are unpacked. If they are you need to delete them.

Yeah I remember, those 2 files showed up during the install of the americas campaign, without knowing it :-)
I'll never forget it again ;-)
Everytime I use the batch file to open the mod my interface in-game is all screwed up, the town names are white, blank squares and the bottom interface is cut off, with only about .5 cm showing, the game is unplayable, I'm sure I'm making some kind of stupid mistake, if anyone knows what I did and can help out, it would be much appreciated.
**The Installation instructions call for you to unpack the files, when doing this i encountered the above bugs, i have the entire mod working by using the .bat file io_file first and placing the modded files into the requisite folders and creating the folders for the other files within the "data" directory in the Americas mod folder without unpacking.
Thanks for the replies,
justin

Any way good jop Chipp I go instal it right now![]()
Can you people do the same with the Barons alliance?
If your not skilled enought to do this yourself and no-one is nice enough to supply the mod for you your best option my freind would be Hotseating your campaign.
this will allow you to play more than one faction, IE England AND Barrons Alliance, how cool is that!

you know I like the origenal campaign more then hotseat. And how do you unlock Barons in hotseat then?
you cant i dont think, but once you start a game, open the console and type control barons_alliance or something.
It doesn't work for meEvery time I start a battle the game crashes.
