1st Campaign

Since the first TW, balkan was always forgotten. I tought that CA will make balkanian states in Medieval II Total War, but I was wrong. Balkan was forgotten evet in M2TW. Now Kingdoms is out, and balkan is still forgotten They made 4 new campaigns, but non of 4 is about balkan. So one idea come to my mind, it is to make campaign about balkan, expansion of Tsardom of Serbia, collapse of Byzantinum, rise of Ottomans, Total War! So here's my idea.

Beginning date: 1345

Location: Balkan, Near East and part of Italy.

Roman Catholic Christians
Knights of St.John
Kingdom of Hungary
Kingdom of Naples
Republic of Venice
Duchy of Athens

Orthodox Christians
Tsardom of Serbia
Tsardom of Bulgaria
Byzantine Empire
Principality of Wallachia

Muslims
Ottoman Empire

Krstjani
Banat of Bosnia

Units: real, historical, authentic, totally new!

So this is my idea. We have modelers and skinners, so we need coders/scripters and mappers.

if your looking for a mod that does focus a fair bit on that area try Sicilian Vespers.
good idea and good luck, have a look at SV though because it covers a lot of what your planning.

I like sicillian vespers, but units, textures, models, ui are from vanilla, and they are very bad, not historic. We have great skinners and modelers, so all we need is coders and mappers.

The textures in SV are Burrek's, WhiteWolf's, Salty's yellow Danes & shields, DisgruntledGoats (next release), and of course many custom to SV.

Choices have to be made, and since I was a one man show, I chose the path that allowed the mod to actually be released. Rather than require a 2 year development, that would come to fruition at the same time as MTWIII

Perhaps you could add the Despotate of Epirus to a later version as an extra emerging faction. Although it was retaken by the Byzantine Empire befor the start of the mod it was ressurected by a rebel Serbian noble later and lasted for many years after though less powerful than the orignal Despotate and changing hands between other rulers who claimed the title of despotes. It is only a thought but it would be another faction and could be a sort of Balkan version of the Barons Alliance from The Brittania campaign.
