I'm actually enjoying the expansion, too...I don't care about the little bugs, the AI seems to have been improved and the new features are great. the only things I'm still missing is the offmap models and the city view...also a tool for unpacking and editing the models of buildings would be nice ^^

and what good can you tell for AI? what good can yu tell for battle AI? IT STILL SUCKS like it WAS! AI still builds stacks of siege equipment (tested on britannia and crusades campaign). Stil there is passive AI and no cohesion. You know it is nice to have 4 new campaigns but most peple wanted better AI! and for those who like to sing "AI is better" lets compare files from original vanilla to those from kingdoms and POINT to me WHAT was changed in the AI and WHERE. because I simply dont believe that.

Oh, be quiet! Always so negative...the OP got a point actually. Too many people here need to bash the game and CA all the bloody time.
Never met a siege eq. only army in either Brittania(playing as Ireland) or in the Crusades(playing as KoJ) so I see the AI's choice of army balance as improved.

The AI NEEDS fixing, given the limited multipler you can only really play against the AI and AI doesn't know how to play the game....its ridiclous.

Same in TW:M and TW:R. 20+ factions and 200 unit types is pointless if the actually substance of a game (i.e. a challenge) is abscent.

I've been playing just the Britannia campaign and have yet to see any stacks of siege equipment. However, I have seen the AI use a lot of siege weaponry and it has been to devastating effects. When they AI defends with 4 bombards it gets gross for my Scottish pikes.

What game doesn't have some sort of defect? None that I know of. Just got to adapt and roll with it, or don't play it. I get problems with certain things, but it's still a GOOD game.

well i love kingdoms, CA has done a great job on it. however, they have been lacking on the release of patches and fixing AI/bugs in the past. but the TW games are some of the best ever, no doubt.

I have to say that I am impressed with Kingdoms. I've had a quick look around the four campaigns but, so far, have only played the America campaign, as Spain, in any depth and I'm having great fun with it.

If anything, it's much more challenging than the main Grand Campaign of the original, and I have to think carefully in how I go about things. OK, the AI is still no military genius, but then, neither am I. However, I'm finding my South American Indian adversaries hard nuts to crack and I've even lost a few pitched battles to them, and it's been a long time since the game's been able to beat me on the battlefield!

I hesitate to say that the expansion is better than the original it's built on but it's a pretty close run thing in my book. With four totally differently flavoured campaigns to explore, which have as much depth as the Grand Campaign in their own way, the time waiting for Empire to be released is going to pass very quickly.

My only moan concerns an "event" in my Spanish campaign. I was a bit miffed when Captain Arghhh! sailed into Havana harbour in his sloop, the Saucy Sue, and sank my fleet of six line-of-battle ships moored there. And, as if that wasn't enough, he then proceeded to plunder the town and made off with the governor's daughter!

I'm so upset that I'm going to write a stiff letter of complaint, to CA, on a piece of cardboard.

    Lol!

But I agree with Aeneas, way too many people only complain about CA. I think they once again did a great job with Kingdoms. So what if there are some bugs, all games have bugs. Just look at games like Gears of War, glitches to the max. So way to go CA!

I should be doing many many other things but instead all i am doing is playing Kingdoms! i haven't been this into a TW title since i played RTW for the first time and i've been a die hard fan of TW since MTW was released!
thanks CA for listening to the community proceeding RTW:BI i can tell that the fine work in kingdoms is the result of your open ears.
lets just hope M2TW has another add-on just as pleasing!

i would have some words to say to you after that comment but it wouldn't be worth starting a debate with someone as narrow minded... forget it...

    uuuh, speak out fanboy

You think the game's a challenge on the hard levels where the AI extremely "cheats" with money and bonuses?

If the AI has a slightly better army as an average, experienced TW-player, the TW-player will always win. That's because the AI's behaviour would be considered "dumb". And playing against a dumbass isn't much fun in the long run. Capice?

That is true, and even the worse with all this finacial bonuse AI can still play into bankrupt.

Well, then use the time you use to play the Total War games who are too easy for you so which means you don't think they're fun to mod them yourself.
