Where can I find the files for this type of picture in the /data folder?

Theoretically it is in data/UI/unit_info/faction

but if you are playing vanilla RTW then it is actually hidden in the .pak files in data/packs. You need this:

to unpack the files so you can view them. To get new ones read you need to make the data/ui/unit_info/.... file structure and put them there (I can't remember at the moment if that is one of the things its funny about not wanting to read there first instead of from the pack - but it will definitely work if you use a mod-folder, or have a new unit name)

Can you just view the images? It's for work on the Wiki.

you still need to unpack them to view them

once you get that far you should be able to view them easily though, they are only .tga files so most things will open them

unpacking won't hurt your game, it will still use the packs, you just get the unpacked files for reference in data/packs/data/ui...... etc
