Any Mod Fix Cohesion -mainly infantry - mainly spears etcs.

Ok, I have not come around for about 8 months, because I got upset with the game, but I really love total war, so I want to take it off the shelf. I took it off last week, updated to 1.2, dl'd LTC, and played. The game is much better, than before, but I am still miffed by the infantry cohesion (calvary is not great either). For example, the AI charges my spearmen, but only the first line charges, the other lines remain way behind. It looks ridiculous. The same thing happens when I charge my spearmen, only the first line advance, the rest stay way behind. I will say that even though Rome often turned into a pile of messy bodies and formations, at least the cohesion worked very well. Of course, my favorite fighting experiences happeend in Medieval Total War (though the AI was completely incompetant on the campaign level).

I am not here complaining, ranting, etc., I am just asking (because I tried to look on my own), is there any mod that fixes this cohesion problem? (and doesn't screw up other parts of the game).

I really would appreicate your help, because I love the Total War Series so much, and I want to play it more, but the cohesion thing messes up my experience a lot.

You've got to direct your units. Try making them move to a point behind the enemy and then when half of them are through, order them to attack.

When I have 1 unit engaged with the enemy and I want the other unit to attack from behind, I have to direct them all the way around and then finally attack.

BTW, if your unit is stronger than the other unit, then its better to have them fight it out.

I am using Lusted LTC, which I assume includes his Battle AI, but I have not noticed any difference in unit cohesion in this respect.

Yes, I understand that you can order your spear past the enemy, but then you do not have them charging.

I am not focused on winning while my troops are doing stupid things. I simply want spears to charge together and fight correctly. Otherwise, the battlegrounds become a mess.
