    Default Enemies rout too easy??

    Ive noticed in my americas that my enemies always rout even if they SHOULD win.

    Im wondering if its broken. The enemies have no generals though and I usually have 4+ Dread commanders in my army. Does them having no generals and me having high dread make THAT much of a difference?

    well...make the battle difficult be H,or Vh..

    the higher the difficult the higher morale they have...

    yep in vh/vh they are pounding , if i dont have my good general my units will flee simply.

    Also. jesus they have liek 20 full stacks all the time. Its way tough to win vs constant barrages, mind you tarascans melee owns apache

    you shouldnt let your enemy grow bigger you have to attack the main places like big fortress with your spies and assassins, and also your "powerfull apache warpath"[if you are apache faction]

    I noticed in the Crusades that the Turks rout very easily as well. Or is that historically accurate>?

    the probably answer for that is becouse they always use their stupidly weak spearmen (spearman?)...AI always lacks of money but have always big armys in a very unbalancing way...

    the easly way to change that in medieval 2 total war was in the
    C:\Programas\SEGA\Medieval II Total
    War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

    then descr_stat then add them more money in the king purse...

    i did this in medieva2tw game too every faction and when i was egypt in turn 80 i invaded turkey and i battle an army full with jannisarry troopas and qupukulu

    reason:
    they will not lack of money that badly andthey will build and upgrade buildings...

    if change the king purse to 3000 doesnt work well make it 3500

    i dont recommend you add more than 3500 becouse then when you play that faction in the future you will rush the other factions

    is they are poor units [not elites] they will definetly route because that was historical accutrate until saladin and the turkish emperor [forgot his name] brought the speciall units.remember for the europeans crusading armies are the strongest of all they have good morale.

    I can only assume there would be more routing in the Americas campaign because of Spain's superior stats/weaponry.

    Having Muskets cutting down your lines, horses trampling on your Jaguar Warriors and watching your Obsidian smash on Spanish Cuirass can't be that fun.

    Even fighting other Native factions, most of the units in the Americas campaign are Light Infantry and I can imagine sustaining casualties faster from an arrow volley/charge would rout them easier. The morale should have been buffed a bit perhaps. I also think a couple more units could have used the Heavy Infantry modifier.

    Perhaps the Jaguar and Eagle Warriors since they are more Noble/Elite units. Maybe I can just change that myself...

    I'm aware not everyone can do it because M2TW is a taxing game, but put unit sizes on Huge. Battles last much longer since it simply takes more people to die for a unit to rout.
