Crusades: Castle Construction
Has anyone else noticed that while playing as the Crusader states, castles and cities seem to have different models on the campaign map. Namely, while cities, when upgraded, continue to appear as Middle Eastern cities, castles when upgraded take on the model of a Western European castle. Why do they not remain middle eastern castles? For an example, look at Kerak at the start of the campaign, it has a square middle east look. After you upgrade it to a fortress, it becomes a blue Western European castle.
Is this intentional? or a bug?

Re: Crusades: Castle Construction
It depends who is in controll of it.
For example, if a muslim faction captures a catholic city, then upgrades the walls, the city icon will show a muslim city. Same goes for castles and other factions.

Re: Crusades: Castle Construction
and when it happens after upgrading defences, it makes sense.
do you expect catholic crusaders to build defences in the style of their enemy? nah, they're not that smart
