    Aw bummer,
Well patience is a virtue right? I do find it wonderous that noone else addressed this "bug" before. Ow and if you somehow remember what you did to fix this, please post it because without this mod the game is just not as good.

PS: I will check the event file to see what happends at turn number 16. maybe something went wrong there?

Well you and are I the only ones so far...lol. Try these files to see if it works:

historic_events goes in the \Stainless_Steel_Mod\data\text folder

and the other file goes in \Stainless_Steel_Mod\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

I am unsure if it's save game compatible though...the best thing to try is just to whip through some turns until you get past 1102.

There you go, I got past 1102 without problems (so far )
Thank you very much. Could you explain to me what the problem was?

Did you use the files I posted?

I'm not sure what the problem really was - I think it had something to do with how I ported the Era events from another mod into mine. I took some time and cleaned up the files to ensure it worked, after I started encountering the CTD.

    Glad it's working for ya!

I'm planning to get rid of some of the higher-tiered/unique units, and replace them with more lower-tiered ones. I've revamped the mercs so that they are recruitable from the tavern building tree instead of in the field, and I've made the unit textures faction specific wherever possible. I plan to have an optiona d/l for orientes's trait system - it's less complicated and more in line with vanilla M2TW....A few other tweaks here and there as well

    I'm glad it's working still!

I wouldpost it if there was a demand for it...I'll be sure to include it in the next release though. I've been a bit lazy lately, so it could be a little while before it's done.

I recently installed medieval 2 total war and all the other stainless steel patches. However recently whenever I launch the game the screen goes black and a sign comes up saying: 16:20:06.109 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.

I have uninstalled stainless steel and medieval 2 but when I re installed medieval 2 the same sign came up. Could you please tell me how to get around the problem? These are the other problems which came up on the notepad:
    16:20:05.437 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/localized.pack
    16:20:05.906 [system.io] [warning] open: preferences/player.txt is missing
    16:20:05.906 [system.io] [warning] open: preferences/keys.dat is missing
    16:20:05.906 [system.io] [warning] open: preferences/keys.dat is missing
16:20:06.109 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.
