Restart a new campaign. Though how many turns has it been?

The AI in all of my campaigns go gung ho on me. They'll stay calm for a little bit but then they'll swarm all over me.

Ive just put the same thing on another thread. I similarly have never been attacked and I had to do a fresh install as KIngdoms didnt like my original install (I may have messed with the ini files at some point probably).

Ive been playing the Spanish and never been attacked by anyone - Aztecs or Mayans despite being at war with them. Do they only attack weak cities or stacks or something? Ive found that in the original game if you have a weak city you get attacked. MAybe its the same here. At the moment allmy stacks are massive. and all my cities have four or more units in them. Could this be it???

Whoa something is weird with your game.

What difficulty are you playing at?

I play on M/VH and the Mayans assaulted me when I started expanding near their borders. The Saracens in the Crusades also assaulted me like first 2 turns. BTW I usually keep 5-7 troops.

THough one thing I should point out is that the game can be inconsistent so try restarting a new campaign but continue playing and see what happens.

The silly thing though is that if your the Spanish, those Mayans and Aztecs outnumber you by 1:2 ratio. The Aztecs never attacked me but the Mayans went all over me and it wasn't until that business was finished that we started fighting each other.

Yeah that really sucks. Playing as Ireland, I'm kicking the scots butts right now, I'm a bit bored of the battles so I just lay siege and when the siege ends, the enemy not even tries to break through... The Scottish did fight abit in the beginning, but since I own and I'm the superpower I guess the AI-player just quit.

Norwegians only had 3 Isles after I destroyed their fleet and took the Isle of men, for 100 turns they didn't manage to set foot on the mainland. *sigh*

This is TW. Make some fancy units, and make the longtime-enjoyability lasting for some days, so long that the "professional reviewers" *huuu huuu* are stunned by the fun new *features*
like forts - man you can do so many new *coool* things with forts in the britannica campaign, I mean you cant build any BUT store up to 2 units (!!!) there for NO UPKEEP I mean *wow* !!! thats uber and w-w-wee got new Indians and all these coool conquistadores and so much fun fun fun, you will have so much fun with this game 100+ hours until you played through with all the new factions WOW teutonic knights kick ass THEY KICK ASS! 2-H SWORDS big swords BIG helmets looking really badass - dynamic lighning - realistic shadows - realistic ohysiks WOW have you seen the exploding barrels!!! man thatz so uber-cooool!!!
And to the people that advice to start a new campaign (yeah I'm always eager to start a new campaign after 50 turns bc someone has a sense it might help) or even reinstall the game (most-studip-advice-eva!):

I have only the crusades campaign for about 20 turns and i also have noticed that the AI is not particularly aggresive towards me.But they are vey expansive and aggressive against the rebels.
AI tends to be a little defensive till now although it moves when i try to hit its cities.
Maybe it is programmed to advance military first and then attack the player.
    We will see.

There is a definite problem with AI aggression I also think that the 30000 that you get to start could have a big effect as it enables you to invest in troop numbers from the start. The AI might be investing in infrastructure instead this puts you at a big adventage.

But even apart from that there is a problem that needs fixing. Then it could be great.

I have to say the actions of the AI when you play as Ireland are a bit confusing.

The Norwegians and the English should be landing armies in Ireland regularly yet they don't. The English in Ireland behave like idiots (vacating cities and occupying forts, splitting armies leaving General on his own etc).

Once I took Ireland it was a cake walk, I had a large base of cities I could depend on, a bunch of Merchants who died of old age on their resource (AI lands nothing in Ireland).

Playing in Britain is more fun will all the factions, ireland itself could be utilized better.
