    Icon11 Marriage does what?!

OK I've played all TW games and never actually married my princess to a foreign character. So, remembering how keen the Russian nobility (and Europeans in general) were to ensure good relations through inter-kingdom marriages, I decided to marry one of my Kievan princesses to a Milanese family member.....................................HUH!? The general stepped out of his city and turned into one of my own, just standing there on the enemy territory. That don't make no sense at all! What, the princesses steal their hearts and bring them to me?

Is there a chance for a mod which would cause the relations between two parties to improve through a marriage, rather than this weird man-theft thing?

you need to use a diplomat, and the faction heir or leader needs to be unmarried. good luck with that one though .

I think that's what I was looking for...although strange that it has to be heir or leader. thanks

I have to agree with the ridiculous nature of only allowing legitimate marriages in between factions only if the faction heir and leader is available, especially when the heirarchy is so screwed up. Should be a way to make adopted generals not be legitimate heirs to the throne so that it can at least be predictable who is going to inherit the throne.

why wouldnt you want an extra general? i think this is a great idea. plus, after marriage to your princess, this general 's loyalty is probably high

a free general always sounds great, but doing that lowers your relations with that faction and in some cases its better to be kissing their toes and holding hands because you're too busy devastating someone else.

To marry your princess to another faction to form an alliance you have to order your princess to open diplomacy with the faction, and if it's available, select the "Marry princess to faction heir" option.
