Moated forts have you met any ?

so i'm going to end my first campaign(crusade one), and i've just notice i never met a moated fort, citadel or whatever...

am i doing something wrong? i have to say i don't often do siege by myself, only if necessary.am i just unlucky?

any help appreciated

I probably shouldn't be answering this, but from what I can tell so far the moated forts are only in the Britannia campaign. I've only played small parts of each campaign, but it seems like Britannia is the only one that uses forts that way.

are you talking about the massive amount of forts on the britannia isles by any chance? god they're everywhere and I'm totally not used to that so I thought these were cities at first >_<

I've only played one fort battle and it had a moat, the problem is the moat had no water in it.

Not all moats are wet.

In the crusades campaign, you have to BUILD the forts; they replaced the old forts, but are more expensive (costing your general 2500 florins to build) its in both Brittania and Crusades, but not in Teutonic, and I'm not sure, but i doubt its in Americas.

Lol, in Ireland, I was England and I retreated to my last castle on the eastern coast, I held out for like 30 turns then I took dublin and then invaded from sea from newly conquered Wales. Those forts saved my massive army from utter anihilation at the hands of the irish and later the scots.

Ummm, they do have them in the Tuetonic one
